My day-to-day work involves designing APIs, building event-driven pipelines, and deploying services on Kubernetes and Nomad. I care about clean architecture, developer experience, and open source.

Most recently, I wrapped up my Backend and DevOps role at ChipChip on April 16, 2026.

Currently, I’m exploring the HashiCorp ecosystem (Vault, Nomad, Consul) and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI tool integrations. I hold an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, where my thesis focused on web application security.

Outside of work, I write about backend engineering, DevOps, and system design on this blog. I enjoy breaking down complex topics and sharing what I learn along the way.
